The Climb - PLEASE WATCH!

Maybe most of you have heard/seen this song by Miley Cyrus. I heard it on someone's blog & LOVED it! I think it's so appropriate for this blog. It's not necessarily about how much we accomplish. Right now I don't feel like I'm accomplishing anything, but the message is DON'T GIVE UP! It's the journey, not the destination. Love you all!

Progress this morning

If I had children at home it would be harder, if I were pregnant it would be impossible, if I had to get to work I probably wouldn't get it done...but... just for today with the grace of God I was able to:

make Dan's lunch, start beans in the crockpot, fill 4 water bottles, cut up fruits and veggies for the day and clear the dishwasher!!!

Thanks Father!

And the beat goes on...

Yes, it does. And I do, although I still feel for the most part like I'm in survival mode instead of thriving mode. I keep saying to myself - next week it will get better! And...no such luck. Cindy reminded me that for most people it really takes closer to 15 weeks. I'm at 12. Sigh...3 weeks seems like an eternity, but I was reminded at conference how we can feel blessed and happy no matter how we feel or what we are going through. SO- a goal I am going to work on this next week is just adjusting my attitude and trying to be more humble. I have worked on giving my health to my Savior and allowing Him to direct it and guide it and know that there's a reason in all things. When I remind myself of that, I am able to relax and let go- and even after puking, I can praise His name and be thankful for all things - especially the opportunity to be pregnant.
So - getting down to the basics here:
-Better attitude.
-I need to get to the temple in the next week or two.
-Scriptures EVERY day.
-More sincere prayers
-Show Jason more how much I appreciate & love him.

Love you all! Happy Easter!

Happy Easter- sorry the picts wouldn't post

Easter 2009 Hello Everyone! Sorry I haven’t written for a while. I’ve been a world travelor! Our 13 day trip was wonderful! Among the highlights was: Parasailing in the Caribbean in St. Johns Seeing Joseph graduate Spending the day with my friend, Adiaha in St. Martins (we got aquainted through my website and books. She is awesome!) I am writing up the whole vacation and putting it in pottspondering in case you want more detail

Before starting on my goals I want to stop and thank my Jesus. If it weren't for Him, his encouragement, his gift of repentance I wouldn't be able to do this blog. THANK YOU JESUS. HAPPY EASTER!

As far as goals go - I am happy to announce that I haven’t had sugar for 36 days now (except 1 lemonade and a caffine drink if I get headaches). I have found a reduction in negative moods, bad headaches and guilt trips. I seem to be able to think more clearly as well. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, however, unless they are truly convinced of the need for a change.

- My books continue to sell and get placed. It is still slow but it was fun when someone called as a result of finding a gifted book in a waiting room at the hospital. She wants to buy it. I keep praying that people will find it and that it will bring them light.

 I am also excited about progress in loving memories. I am working to put together a Potts Yearly Activities calendar including birthday dinners, monthly outings, monthly temple trips and semi-annual memory weekends and women’s conferences.  Dan has inspired me to step up my exercising. I have actually done a little very slow running. At this point it takes my 18 minutes to run a mile! Slow huh! You’d think I was just shuffling along! At least I’m trying!! I send you all my love. I don’t think I could do the sugar-free thing without your support and cheering. Thank you.
